Objection: "The Entropy Defense"
The Claim:
"Entropy proves the universe is constantly losing order. Things break and stay broken. Information degrades. Why would 'Justice' be the only thing in the cosmos immune to the universal law of decay?"
1. Hardware vs. Law
Entropy applies to physical systems—atoms, stars, and biological cells. It does not apply to the Laws of Logic.
Truth is Not a Molecule
A Moral Debt is an informational fact, not a physical object. Just as the equation 2 + 2 = 4 does not "decay" into 2 + 2 = 3.9 over a billion years, the Laws of Justice do not have a half-life. Facts are not made of atoms; therefore, they cannot rust.
2. The Fixed Coordinate
Time does not change the identity of an event. If an act occurred in the past, it remains a permanent coordinate in the history of reality.
Immutable Data
Even if every star goes cold, the Fact that a specific crime was committed remains eternally true. If the event is eternal, the imbalance it created is also eternal. Logic dictates that a system with a permanent imbalance is a broken system—unless there is a final settlement.
3. The Integrity of Reality
If truths could "expire" or "decay," then science and math would be impossible. We would live in a universe where the rules of the game change every thousand years.
Status: SYSTEM INTEGRITY
We rely on the fact that the Laws of Logic are constant. If we've already agreed that Morality is an Objective Fact (Step 2), then it belongs to the category of Constant Laws, not Decaying Matter. Entropy is the fate of the body, but it has no jurisdiction over the Debt.
