Objection: "Anthropomorphic Projection"
The Claim:
"This feels like projecting human emotions onto a cold cosmos. The Universe is indifferent. An earthquake kills a child, and the stars don't blink. 'Justice' is just a biological coping mechanism we created to make ourselves feel significant."
1. The Law of the Source
A fundamental law of causality is that a stream cannot rise higher than its source. An effect cannot possess a quality that is entirely absent from its cause.
Status: THE CAUSALITY TRAP
If the Universe (The Cause) is truly indifferent and valueless, it is logically impossible for it to produce Beings (The Effect) who are obsessed with Justice, Meaning, and Value. We are not visitors to this system; we are part of it. If a sense of Justice exists within us, then Justice is a documented component of the System.
2. The Rationality of Physics
The investigation in Step 1 established that the Universe is strictly rational and follows mathematical laws. It is a structured environment, not a chaotic one.
Status: CONSISTENCY CHECK
Why would a Universe be perfectly organized in its physics but utterly chaotic in its ethics? If the System tracks the math of a star, why would it ignore the math of a moral debt? To claim "Indifference" is to suggest a massive logic gap in an otherwise perfect system. We are auditing a reality that tracks everything.
3. The Audit of the "Coping Mechanism"
If Justice is dismissed as just a biological trick for survival, then Truth and Logic must be dismissed as well.
Status: CRITICAL LOGIC FAILURE
If our hunger for Justice is just a "biological delusion," then our ability to do Science or Logic is equally suspect. If the mind is just a survival machine, it doesn't care about "Truth"—it only cares about what keeps it alive. To trust logic at all is to admit the mind can perceive Objective Reality. And in that Reality, the Rupture is a Fact that requires a conclusion.
