The Global Birth Pangs
For roughly 5,900 years, human knowledge accumulated linearly. A man in 1700 AD farmed and communicated much like a man in 1000 BC. Then, suddenly, at the threshold of the 6th Millennium, the curve went vertical.
Through the internet, quantum computing, and Artificial Intelligence, human knowledge is no longer just increasing; it is compounding exponentially by the hour. We have built a digital nervous system connecting the entire planet, achieving the exact parameter required for a centralized, global database—the prerequisite for the Beast system (Rev 13).
Daniel stated men would "run to and fro" at the time of the end. Nahum saw the specifics. He described "chariots" (vehicles) that rage in "broad ways" (multi-lane highways), powered by "flaming torches" (internal combustion engines/headlights), moving at speeds resembling lightning compared to a horse-drawn cart.
Today, millions of people traverse the globe daily in metal tubes at 500 mph. Globalized, rapid transit was entirely inconceivable to a 7th-century BC prophet, yet it perfectly describes the daily commute of the 21st century.
The Apostle Paul warned of a "falling away" (apostasy) before the end (2 Thess 2:3). The final state of the Church Age is embodied by Laodicea. It is not a persecuted church hiding in caves; it is a wealthy, comfortable, corporate church.
Today, western Christianity boasts multi-million dollar campuses, fog machines, and "prosperity" gospels. They claim they are "rich and increased with goods." Yet, Christ stands completely outside this church, knocking to get in (Rev 3:20). They have traded the offensive blood of the cross for TED talks and self-help therapy. They are spiritually blind and naked.
Paul provided a hyper-specific, 19-point cultural checklist to identify the "perilous times" of the last days. It reads exactly like an indictment of modern social media and Western culture.
The most terrifying sign is that they have "a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof." Modern society champions itself as highly moral and empathetic ("progressive"), yet it fundamentally rejects the Creator. We worship the creature more than the Creator.
Jesus referred to these geological and meteorological events as "the beginning of sorrows" (Matt 24:8). The Greek word used is ōdin, meaning birth pangs. Birth pangs operate on two unchangeable rules: they increase in frequency and they increase in intensity right before delivery.
Secular science blames climate change; scripture calls it labor. Just as Romans 8:22 states that "the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain," we are watching global seismic activity, magnetic anomalies, and catastrophic weather patterns ("the sea and the waves roaring") spike exponentially. The Earth itself is in labor, preparing for the physical return of the King.
We are watching global geopolitical alignments forming exactly as the prophets foretold. The world is obsessed with a sliver of land in the Middle East, demanding "Peace and Security" (1 Thess 5:3) and attempting to divide Jerusalem.
Furthermore, Ezekiel 38 prophesied a specific coalition of nations that would attack Israel in the last days—led by Magog, Persia, and Togarmah. For centuries, these nations hated each other. Today, Russia, Iran, and Turkey have formed an unprecedented military and economic alliance. The players are fully assembled on the board.
"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers..." (2 Peter 3:3)
The immediate secular and lukewarm response to Prophetic Signs is denial by historical comparison. We must audit this counter-claim.
