Objection: "The Scapegoat"
The Claim:
"Punishing an innocent person for the crimes of a guilty person is the definition of Injustice. It is immoral to whip a child because their brother broke a window. Calling it 'Mercy' doesn't change the fact that it is a miscarriage of Justice."
1. The Primary Victim
We tend to think our moral failures are only offenses against other people. But we are using the energy, time, and volition granted to us by the Source to vandalize the Source's own reality.
Status: The Debt Is Owed To Him
When we lie, cheat, or destroy, we are vandalizing the creation of the First Cause. Therefore, the moral debt is owed directly to Him. As the Creditor, the First Cause possesses the absolute authority to determine how the Ledger is balanced.
2. The Physics of Debt
There is no "magic wand" to erase a moral debt. Events are fixed in the timeline of Reality. The scale must be balanced to maintain the integrity of the system.
Status: No Free Lunch
If a system is damaged, the cost exists. Either the perpetrator pays for the damage, or the owner absorbs the loss. Moral debt cannot vanish into nothingness. Since we are logically insolvent (owing an infinite debt), either we pay it over an eternity of separation, or the Creditor absorbs the loss Himself.
3. The Creditor Pays
This objection fails because it incorrectly identifies the Substitute as a helpless third party. The Audit reveals that the Judge is the Substitute.
Status: Logic Restored
Substitution is not "cosmic child abuse"; it is the Creditor stepping down to pay the debt we owed to Him. He is not punishing an innocent bystander; He is absorbing the penalty of Justice into His own Nature so that the Law is satisfied and the criminal is pardoned.
